Concrete and ICF
BernMar pours concrete and builds with Insulated Concrete Forms, on farm buildings, commercial work and homes alike.
ICF is a wall built from hollow foam blocks that lock together like brick. The blocks are stacked, reinforced with steel, and filled with concrete, so the finished wall is concrete with permanent insulation on both faces.
Walls go up fast, they hold heat, and they stand up to Island weather. The same crew handles the footings, the foundation and the pour, so the concrete work is not subcontracted out.

Agricultural, commercial and residential. That covers dairy, poultry and livestock barns, potato storage and processing warehouses, commercial buildings, and homes and cottages.

Yes. BernMar does building renovations and new construction in all three areas.

Yes. BernMar provides concrete services and builds Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) foundations and buildings.
How long has BernMar been in business?
Since 1998. Mark Linzel and Bernie Dykerman started the company as partners that year; Bernie retired from the company in 2022 and Mark owns and runs it today.
